In A Traffic Slump, Use A PPC Boost

Posted by admin

It’s hard to admit, but many people depend on Google search results for their online business. We spend much time tweaking and optimizing to achieve better and better Google search results. You finally get that top 10, maybe even that #1 position and everything is dandy. Your visitors are up, your page views are up, clicks are up and hopefully revenue is up. Then one day… You log in and poof gone. What do you do next?

If you haven’t already figured this out the Google search algorithm is fickle. One day it likes you, the next who knows. It’s like you are a freshman in High School all over again. One day you are the king and all the girls fight over you. Then, you get one zit and you could not get a date to save your life. Or, maybe you get bumped out by the new transfer student… You get the point.

So, what do you do? First, remember it’s temporary. You can fight your way back to the top. Keep creating content and building links. Eventually, you will make it back up there. Google makes index changes and corrections all the time. So, keep plugging along.

Second, give your traffic a boost using Pay-Per-Click. PPC is a powerful traffic generating system. The easiest way to get going quickly is to figure out the search terms people used to get to your site. Check your analytics and pull the entire list for 30 days. Then copy that list into your PPC campaign. This should at least replace your lost traffic.

Yes, you are going to have to spend some money to get your traffic back, but at least you get the traffic. Traffic should translate into conversions which translates into commissions. Yes, your margin will not be as much, but you will have some revenue. And, that’s what it is all about. Constant revenue coming in no matter how small. I’d rather spend a little to make a little than site back and make nothing doing nothing. In that case, you are not driving anything, you are just sitting there stagnant. Not a good position to be in.

The lesson is to take control of your situation instead of your situation taking control of you.

Huge Days Ahead For PPC Networks

Posted by admin

I was just doing my daily PPC campaign check and noticed my positions have significantly dropped off for several of my campaigns. I have one campaign that is laptop related and the average click is around $0.50 for first page visibility within Adwords. Normally it is in the top 5. Today it is ranking around position 17.

Google is telling me that I will have to bid at least $1.25 per click to get in the top 5 for my key search terms. WOW, literally double and then some.

Considering what I’m doing is no different than others, I bet many people’s ad spend is going to shoot up over the next 4 days. Congrats Google, Yahoo, MSN and all others that have ad networks. I’m sure you are going to make a killing off your traffic tax products.

Pre-New Years Resolution- Work on SEO so I don’t have to use PPC.

Niche Marketing- Get Ready Now For Christmas Shoppers

Posted by admin

The Christmas season IS the biggest shopping season on the year. Knowing this, it is critical that you get your Build A Niche Store sites up and running now so they have time to get indexed in the search engines. This is going to be my first winter shopping season with BANS and I’m really excited.

I have heard from other BANS owners and affiliate marketers that their revenue doubles and even triples over the next two months. But, it takes effort and careful planning to see those numbers. Here are a few tips that I have received and am working on to triple my revenue over the next few months.

  • Updating content- I’m making sure that my store content is fresh with the latest products and product reviews that people will be searching for.
  • Expanding Stores- Adding two more stores focused on specific holiday gifts that are supposed to be popular this buying season.
  • Creating Christmas specific and keyword rich blogs- I don’t want to change my sites because they rank well for my keywords. Instead, I’m creating traffic blogs that drive traffic to those sites. They all have keywords related to Christmas shopping and my product focus.
  • Finding other affiliate deals- Not everyone wants to buy from eBay, I’m supplementing the eBay auctions with related affiliate promotions/banners/content.

The window for you to really make some money this season is closing quickly. If you have not purchased Build A Niche Store, I highly recommend it. It is totally worth the $99 investment and you will surely make that back in the first month you have your store or stores up.

Build A Niche Store Update - Earnings Report

Posted by admin

Yes, it’s been a very long time since my last post. I’ve been really, really busy working on several projects. Some BANS, some not.

As far as the non-BANS, I’ve been working on several sites including one for Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira, he’s the UFC Heavyweight Champ! He’s opened a new gym here in Dallas called Octagon MMA., you can see it at http://www.OctagonMMA.com. That was a huge, yet fun project.

As far as BANS goes, I’ve really scaled down my sites and focus over the last 3 months. When I bought Build A Niche Store back in May, I immediately put up about 8 stores. That was a mistake, never do that.

Since then, I’ve scaled back to active participation in 3 stores. Two are fully developed with full content and making around $150 per month on average. The third is just ramping up so I have not promoted it yet.

EARNINGS REPORT

October - $429

September- $385

Keep in mind that the bulk of this income is coming from 2 sites. All of the income reported is from EPN, no other affiliate programs.

On an interesting note, I spent ZERO time on BANS in October and it was my biggest month YTD. I spent around 10 hours in September. Just been busy on other projects.

So, making money with Build A Niche Store can an IS being done. It’s all based on setting up your store correctly and then let eBay do the rest. I spent no time on these sites over the last month ands a half and they still make me enough money to pay my truck note!

If you have not started with BANS, you need to. It can really change your financial position for the better.
