Build A Niche Store Updates

Posted by admin

Just wanted to make a quick post, been really busy for the last week. I love it when Tiger Woods is in the hunt for a tournament win. It going to be a sad day for me when he retires. Better enjoy it while it lasts, anyway…

OK, could quick notes.

First, BANS now works with Pepperjam. Personally, I don’t care. I’m not going to convert my sites away from EPN. But, you may want to, so now you can. Read the BANS forum, they have a ton of info on how to get and install the upgrade. As for me, I’ll just keep on keeping on.

Second, the BANS Case Study… Has come to a grinding halt. I’ve been sooooo busy over the past week, I have not been able to keep up with it. That will change tomorrow. I plan on doing a screencast to show you how to check your site rank for free with an awesome new tool.

Third, Build A Niche Store Case Study earnings. That I can share today. So far, I’ve had 188 clicks with a total profit of $17.01. That includes expenses for ppc. So not bad, especially considering I have not touched it in a week and the site itself is only about 18 days old. I’d like to get the site up to $5 per day, right now I’m a little less than $1. I honestly think that is all that niche can do without dumping major time and effort. Anyway, $5 a day works out to be $1825 for the year.

Build A Niche Store Header Graphic

Posted by admin

I generally don’t read documentation for software, I just go with it and figure it out. But, header dimensions are the one thing I always forget.

The standard logo size for a 2 column template is 780 x 180 pixels. The standard logo size for a 3 column template is 968 x 180 pixels.

Correct logo name: logo.jpg
It is on page 29 in the user manual

Build A Niche Store - Day 9 Ebay Partner Network Reporting

Posted by admin

OK, day 9 of our case study and what an exciting day it is. Today we are going to review some reporting Ebay gives us and start looking at content development.

YOU Should Not Buy Build A Niche Store If…

Posted by admin

I love Build A Niche Store. Why? Because I like eBay, I like creating content, I like promoting things I like, I like the Web and I love to make money on the Web.

But, the thing is, I also love the work. I like getting in there and researching a niche. Testing a niche out, creating content for that niche. I am 100% sold out, in the game when it comes to building wealth through the sites I create using Build A Niche Store.

That being said, BANS is not for everyone. YOU should not buy Build A Niche Store if…

  • YOU Are a QUITTER. Quitters never succeed because they are afraid to really start. They never finish and never are going to succeed because they don’t give themselves a chance to succeed.
  • YOU Are looking for a handout or a quick buck. BANS takes time, effort and energy. You are not going to pay off your mortgage overnight with BANS. But you can over time.
  • YOU Are not creative. BANS requires out of the box thinking. You have to think about a niche, choose a niche, develop that niche and market to those seeking that niche. You don’t need to innovate anything, the software is already developed. You just need to be creative in how you use it.  If you are not creative, do not buy the software.
  • YOU don’t take risks. Spending $97 on BANS is a risk. Purchasing $7.50 hosting is a risk. Purchasing a $7.95 domain is a risk. Yes, BANS requires the purchase of these three things. Question…Do you go to work someplace full-time? How do you get there? You probably bought a car to get there. Why? So you can make money. It’s the same thing. To make real money on the Internet, you have to buy a vehicle to get you there. BANS could be your vehicle.
  • YOU are lazy. BANS is not for the lazy. You’ll need to create content, research and build your network of sites. It takes effort. Not a ton of effort. Not 24×7 effort. But, it requires about an hour a day to see some return. Put 2 hours in, see more return. Put 3 hours a day in and you will see a significant return. Do it full-time, you make serious coin. But you have to do the work. Once you get going, you can slack off, but in the beginning you should expect to make a good effort.

So, if you are a quitter (you probably stopped reading by now anyway), looking to get rich quick, and going to freak out because you invested $97 in yourself, please don’t buy Build A Niche Store.

However, if you want to succeed, you want to work at something, build something, have a creative mind and want to EARN a living on the Web, go ahead and buy Build A Niche Store.

Build A Niche Store - Tip 4 Content Is King

Posted by admin

I’ve been surfing the BANS user forum a bunch over the last few days and am just totally shocked by the sites people are putting up. They think they can install BANS, change out the header image and then make $100 a day.

Wrong. BANS requires content to be successful. Why? Search engines. Search engines need content to figure out what your site is about. That content needs to be keyword focused and rich.

I either see BANS sites with:

  • No content at all
  • Little content, but not keyword rich.
  • Too much content with too many keywords.

Very rarely do I come across a BANS site that has balance between content and keyword focus. OK, what do I mean?

No content at all. That’s bad for the obvious. Search engines come and can’t figure out what your site is about. you get no rank, no traffic and no sales.

Little content, no keywords. OK, so you write or lift some content and put it on your site. But, you didn’t take the time to optimize that content for 1-2 keywords. Again, the search engine comes along and tries to figure out what your site is about. It can’t pick up on your keyword because you did not place an emphasis on that word. Again, bad rank, no traffic, no sales.

Lastly, you have a ton of content, but you also have a ton of keywords. What you have is a confused search engine. It doesn’t know what your focus is so it spreads you out. Results in, bad rank, low traffic and no sales.

So, what’s the key to having good content?

Balance. You need to have 5-7 unique Content Pages that are keyword rich. Meaning, you select 1 keyword and use that keyword strategically throughout the content page.

You also need to have unique content on your store pages. Again, this content needs to be keyword rich with that 1 or 2 keywords that your site focuses on.

Now, a search engine comes buy. It spiders your content and can easily identify what you are about. It knows where to put you and more importantly where to rank you. You get better search results, more traffic and more sales.

Lastly, remember why you have the store in the first place. To make money. If you put too much junk on your site, people will get distracted and leave. You want them to browse your content, but then the goal needs to be clicking on an ad.

See, content is king when it comes to search engines. Search engines are king when it comes to traffic. Traffic is king when it comes to conversions. Conversions are king when it comes to commissions. Keep that in perspective and in that order! You won’t go wrong.

Build A Niche Store Case Study - Day 6 & 7 Focus On Search

Posted by admin

OK, doing a combined Day 6 & 7 today. Got a little lazy yesterday. Anyway, I shot a video to give a status of where we are at with the case study.

So far, things are looking very positive. We have 2 sales, which is not great but $5 is $5. Also, that is not our focus right now in the first 7 days. Our focus is finding out if anyone buys, which they do. and second, what our keywords should be. Which we did as well. Check out the video to see how I did it.

I apoligize about the poor audio blips that come up. I’m working on that.

Build A Niche Store Case Study - Day 5 Reporting

Posted by admin

OK, so our Sunday stats are in and we had 33 clicks for the day with no sales. Now, that doesn’t mean somebody didn’t buy with all those clicks. It just means somebody has not bought yet… Gotta look on the positive.

See we hope that someone clicks a link and wins an auction on the day they click, but it doesn’t always happen that way.

The great thing about Build A Niche Store and eBay is that visitor can buy something within 7 days and I still get credit. So, now is not the time to p
